Flying DiscDogs of Oregon
FLYDO club teams traveled up to Olympia Washington on March 20th to attend the WOOFD2 Spring Training clinic. FLYDO was represented by Julia Buck with Kit, Eddie Allen with Nick the Wonder Dog and Kris Jacobson with Ilsa. Following the clinic, a Skyhoundz Distance/Accuracy competition was held and Team Julia and Kit wowed the field with a second place finish in the Novice class!
FLYDO members will be putting on a Freestyle demonstration for a Juvenile Diabetes charity fundraising event on May 23rd, 2010 at Dogs At Play Daycare, 590 Wilson Street Eugene, OR
Welcome to the website for FLYDO-Flying Discdogs of Oregon! FLYDO is a new club dedicated to promoting the exciting sport of Disc Dogging. We are currently looking to build the club membership base and have plans to host disc dog events, competitions and demonstrations throughout the state. Membership is not restricted to Oregon residency. We are welcoming members from all geographic areas and hope to attract members from Idaho, Southern Washington and Northern California.
Playing disc with your dog is a great way to get exercise for you and your four legged buddy. It's an amazing amount of fun. Worried that you or your dog don't have what it takes to play disc? Think again, because all kinds of dogs and people participate in the sport. From informal fun events, to the highest levels of competition, the variety of human/canine teams are a joy to watch.
